Help us put pollinators on the map:

Utah is home to many diverse pollinating insects across its varied landscapes. These tiny animals are active at different times throughout the growing season and respond to environmental conditions like weather and availability of food and shelter. Understanding their population size and range is vitally important to the conservation work being done to help protect pollinating insects. Through Utah Pollinator Pursuit, community scientists help gather that information and support important conservation research!

There are two key ways to be involved with Utah Pollinator Pursuit:

  • Complete Habitat Assessments

With this option, you’ll choose or be matched with a specific site to visit, preferably 2-3 times during the season. This provides crucial information on pollinator habitat and makes conservation planning possible.

  • Record Pollinator Sightings

This is the easiest way to conserve Utah's monarchs and bumble bees. Just download the Survey123 app and use it to record encounters with bumble bees and monarchs—anywhere you see them!
